Meet "Handsome Devil" The Armoire

BEFORE:  This armoire was a "found" item.  Some one actually threw this away.  It was a bit of an ugly beast but the bones are so lovely, I knew he would be a handsome devil witha bit of imagination and elbow grease.


Stage II  Primed :  So a bit better but not there by a long shot.....

Stage III:  Meet "Handsome Devil"  He is the proud focal point of my dining room.  He's got a lovely coat of custom mixed grey paint and patchwork papered doors.  I just love him.  He needs closure hardware but is already in use holding all sorts of things.  Not bad for a "curb alert".

    Love the patterns on the paper you used for this. I have been stenciling similar patterns, I will have to try you technique!

These dead trees have burned in patterns. I think this is so amazing! A beautiful succulent topiary lady. This one cracks me up! Barn Mural Revealed

My huge white barn got the royal makeover these past couple of days when my girlfriend came to visit and help me with this massive project. My gal pal hard at work!  She even provided some of the exterior paint.... She rocks! We tried a bit of shading but it just didn't look good.  We ended up covering it up and going with simple clean lines. My bestie, Kelly O.  She worked her ass off and enjoyed every minute of it... Maybe it was the beer! Side angle view. The rest of the white will get a coat of tan to match the house trim. Pretty awesome if I do say so myself.  It turned out better than I thought it would! Thanks to Kelly, not many people would spend their short vacation painting barns for friends, she is amazing and talented.  I love love love the new look!!!!

Wednesday's Before and After Furniture Makeover

BEFORE This buffet/sideboard needed a significant attitude adjustment.  I loved the detail on the front but the chipped and peeling veneer was an eyesore....  Ooh, I know just what this needs... AFTER Now with a sophisticated black and white themed look with some sassy red knobs, this could be a multipurpose piece... Think Bar, Buffet, etc etc. Meet my newest creation... "SPEAKEASY". Detail on middle drawers.  Would you like Cabernet or Zin? No bar is complete without the music...(side cabinet door details)
