THE TREE-TMENT A dresser makeover


BEFORE: 

She's an oldy, oh yeah, but a goody.  I felt whe needed just a bit of the old cosmetic surgery treatment to get her groove back. That hardware was pretty goth for this simple two over two dresser.


The veneer top was in rough shape this is after a day of scraping my ass off to remove it all.  I wish that buned as many calories as jogging a 5K. It felt like it..Funnnnn!! I say!  By the way, said behind remains, I didn't scrape enough to remove it completely.. Hee Hee...



AFTER:

After surgery, the look is country cool, but not too cute.  I have been in a tree mood so here we are...

Barn Mural Revealed

My huge white barn got the royal makeover these past couple of days when my girlfriend came to visit and help me with this massive project. My gal pal hard at work!  She even provided some of the exterior paint.... She rocks! We tried a bit of shading but it just didn't look good.  We ended up covering it up and going with simple clean lines. My bestie, Kelly O.  She worked her ass off and enjoyed every minute of it... Maybe it was the beer! Side angle view. The rest of the white will get a coat of tan to match the house trim. Pretty awesome if I do say so myself.  It turned out better than I thought it would! Thanks to Kelly, not many people would spend their short vacation painting barns for friends, she is amazing and talented.  I love love love the new look!!!!

Wednesday's Before and After Furniture Makeover

BEFORE This buffet/sideboard needed a significant attitude adjustment.  I loved the detail on the front but the chipped and peeling veneer was an eyesore....  Ooh, I know just what this needs... AFTER Now with a sophisticated black and white themed look with some sassy red knobs, this could be a multipurpose piece... Think Bar, Buffet, etc etc. Meet my newest creation... "SPEAKEASY". Detail on middle drawers.  Would you like Cabernet or Zin? No bar is complete without the music...(side cabinet door details)
