Some fun little ones

New things now finished

This little desk was just a little brown ugly duckling, now it is a silver swan. Glam is the answer. This is a country cabinet I made from a broken down brown thrift shop buy. A little paint and some chicken wire added to a makeshift door and a cool handle and Viola! Some back round paper may be in order to make it extra special. This was my take on a bohemian bureau. All fabrics onto a little chest of drawers on top of a table that was painted and decoupaged to make it one unique piece. An old metal bathroom medicine cabinet became a girls wall vanity. Artsy on the inside and the added bonus is little magnet can hold pictures or notes . Shelves for storage for polish or perfumes or beanies, name your collectible. A friend snatched this up for her daughter.

Portland Maine is cool

We had a lovely weekend in Portland Maine. The cobbled streets and lobster town feel were all we imagined. Go Pirates!! (minor league hockey team we saw saturday night)

Had a fantastic walk through Montpelier over columbus day weekend. Enjoyed the bicycle art and finally stopped into the http://lazypear.com / gallery. Awsome drift wood and button art.

Barn Sale!!

Image
Had the big sale and it was sort of slow but interesting. There were a few shoppers but has lots of good feed back on the furniture. The Day after the sale two pieces sold to folks who needed to think about it. Had fun setting everything up into a little shop. Set up the Halloween decorations a bit early. Check out the ghosts in the barn window. Thanks to Ellen for hanging and helping.

Fabric on furniture gives the following items a pretty pizzazz! It is easier to work with than paper I find on larger pieces. Plus the durability should be greater. These little beauties will be offered at the barn sale on Columbus Day Weekend.

Fall decorating

Image
Fall is here and I have started to get the house oranged up. Lot of black and white. I'll soon unpack the spiders and bats.... Leaves already changing. I love Vermont every season , but fall especially. Halloween is my favorite holiday. I guess it's the little witch inside me just dying to get out and raise some hell. Ghouls just wanna have fun after all heh, heh, heh!
